Hi, For my math IA, I chose to do traffic flow. So far, I narrowed down my potential questions to: a) How do trucks contribute to traffic jams and b) What causes traffic jams. Do you guys think that one of these is a do-able topic question, or should i change it? How can i structure my IA to get a good mark? Thanks :))

I've done research on some universities in the UK to study Veterinary Medicine but none of the ones that I've come across specify if I should take AI or AA, the only requirment being Maths SL and/or the grade (e.g 5 out of 7). Some don't focus on the overal points out of 45 but more on the individual grades of subjects. I've spoken to a few teachers, they said AA would be a better option as it'll give me more opportunities for universities but after receiving my prior knowledge test we did during induction for DP, I did not get a high enough mark and so my maths teacher doesnt recommend A

Hey, I just want to be sure that I'm not in over my head when I transferred from a public school to a charter, that offers IB. I usually have good motivational tendencies and coping with depression off my female monthly event, but I realized that I had not taken into account that my depression is exacerbated greatly during that period of time. I think that my emotional stress every month grants me a disadvantage that will not prove fruitful if I stay in the program. I do well in all of my SL courses except Biology because the teacher rushes everything, usually not telling us a

Hi guys I have a math Ia due by the end of this week, and I basically am not close to finishing. Im using probability and statistics to find the outcome of a football (Soccer) tournament. I need to find ways on how to do this. So far I used the poisson distribution to predict outcome of matches, but does anyone know how I can use the graphs in my IA (like how should I analyse it). And im also looking for other methods of calculating a match outcome, one where there is only loss or win for the knockout stages. The tournament I am predicting is the Euros 2020. Hi fellow IB students! I just wanted to let you know that there is a really useful and cool tool for IB Physics. Me and my classmate (i.e. also an IB student) have developed a twitter and an instagram for IB Physics related things and we would really appreciate if you followed us! It is basically something you can access from your mobile device at any time (since most of us have twitter and/or instagram accounts) and is therefore very available and handy. We post summaries on IB Physics topics as pictures on instagram (both SL and HL topics) and useful tips/stuff that relate to IB Physics

so my question is " how does club head speed affect the distance of a golf ball" im just worried that this is too simple, im doing it on correlation as i find that the easiest (if you have any other topic suggestions please tell me) however i was thinking about changing it to "how does club head speed affect spin and distance of a golf ball" is this better and if so how do i do a correlation with three variables. Hello everyone, I ran out of time for my Chemistry Internal Assessment and was advised to do the IA without any kind of experimentation. I would have to search data through the internet yet I don't know how to do it as I don't have any kind of experience in making this kind of work. These are my DP subjects: English A French/Spanish Geography Chemistry Math Computer Science As I would be taking the computer science major in University, I was planning to take CS HL, Chem HL, Math HL, and if possible English HL too. My aim for my math exploration is to find a US capital city whose climate matches Kyoto, Japan. I am only looking at the temperature aspect of the climate. I manage to narrowed down my data and now I am trying to find the equation to fit my data. I know that I am using sinusoidal modeling to find it, but I want to use the sine regression to get those models. However, I don't know if IB will give me less marks because of that. Guys, I'm looking for a company or firm I can analyse for my Business Management SL IA. Is it better to look for firms that face a certain issue and then analyse it or should I look for a firm based on a certain method of analysis. To me, writing a research question looks like a never ending process. It would be great if you share scored exemplars and resources for the same. Thank you

I have currently chosen to investigate tidal waves for my maths IA. However, I am unsure as to what other explorations I can do under this. (And whether or not this is too simple...) Is modelling and predicting future tidal waves appropriate? I have secondary sources that'll give me data of tides at different points in times at a beach, so I will be able to graph them. I will also use trig and algebra to find the ideal time to visit the beach with my "ideal" tidal height of 1.5 metres I am uncertain as to what other maths/exploration I can apply to this Any suggestion

Hello Can anyone tell me how big the gap between chem HL&SL and econ HL&SL are? I'm currently taking math, chem, physics HL & english langlit, mandarin B, econ SL. Would dropping chem from HL to SL and switching econ SL to HL reduce the workload? I already feel quite overwhelmed by the amount of work from math&physics HL
