I have my first rough draft of my math IA due in one month, and I am having trouble understanding if my topic is too simple, difficult, or vague for a Math IA, I would appreciate some advice. NOTE; I DO NOT TAKE PHYSICS, NOR WILL I BE TAKING IT. I realise many people say I should take on a topic that involves physics if I don't take it or completely understand the concepts I am using from Physics, but I have no choice. My math teacher told me I can't change my topic, so I'm stuck with it! My idea was to maximize the success of a volleyball serve using the concepts of projectile motio

Hey guys, I need advise or opinions on my Physics EE plan. I’m considering about investigating the effect of drag force and Magnus effect on a projectile motion of a tennis ball. Is this a advisable EE topic, or is it too simple for an EE? I was worried if this fits more on an IA rather than an EE. Thanks a lot!

Hi! im wondering how to solve these projectile motion problems: A particle is launched horizontally with a speed of 8.0 m s−1 from a point 20 m above the ground. a Calculate the time when the particle lands on the ground. b Determine the speed of the particle 1.0 s after launch. c Find the angle between the velocity and the horizontal 1.0 s after launch. d Determine the velocity with which the particle hits the ground. A soccer ball is kicked so that it has a range of 30 m and reaches a maximum height of 12 m. Determine the initial velocity (magnitude and direction) of the bal

Hey guys, I need your opinion on my physics EE topic because I don't know if its scoring enough or not. Im building my own trebuchet catapult model from a youtube video I had watched and then investigating on the horizontal ranges of the projectile of different materials: wood, rock, metal. Basically... Syllabus covered: Projectile motion, air resistance Innovation: Trebuchet catapult Investigation: determining the best material for throwing farthest (horizontal range). In other words, how nature of material/surface area causes air resistance, thus horizontal range. Is changing only the mate

I am looking for ideas for my physics hl ia. I want to do something with projectile motion. Forces are okay as well. But I am having trouble finding something that is complicated enough for hl level. I am a field player (shotput, discus, javelin) so that could be something I could do it in.

Hey, Although I have identified an idea on which I would like to base my extended essay in math, I still do not know how to formulate my research question. The idea being that I would like to investigate how a sniper has to project his shot with different variables: a) distance to target b) speed of wind c) gravity d) altitude difference e) speed of target f) acceleration of target obviously while taking into account more variables the formula will become more complex and difficult. there are many other variables like temperature which are difficult to take into consideration I thought that on
