For the Hl english Lit paper 2, we have to read 4 books and know them thoroughly and this can be quite difficult considering all the things we need to remember. So, I was thinking if everyone could lists the books they are doing the people with the same books could help each other out by exchanging quotes, analysis and other stuff regarding the books. I was wondering if you are allowed to write about texts that you learnt outside of class and is in the booklist but didn't learn with the teacher in class? Like, are you even allowed? -
In the Economics Paper 2, there are 4 articles and 4 long questions; should I try to read through both the articles and the questions completely during the five minutes reading time? I'm unsure that this is enough time. Should I just read the questions? -
For Paper 2 in English A Lang & Lit HL, my class studied multiple poems written by Philip Larkin and Murakami's "Kafka on the Shore". My question is: in Paper 2, we have to refer to two texts that we have studied in class, so, if I choose to cover "Kafka on the Shore" and Larkin, should I talk about only one of his poems? Or can I talk about a number of his poems?

Hi! I made this document for a class assignment and everyone seemed to really like it so I thought I would share it with all of you. The spaces after each section are to write any questions you have or any additional information you would like to add. I know the topic is specific but it is a large section and you could probably cut these down more. I can't take all the credit as two other students helped create this document too. Hi there! I'll be writing a essay on the Origins of the Cold War, and I'm slightly confused on how exactly I should structure it. I know that the three big conferences were important towards breaking the Grand Alliance, but I'm not too sure what else I can touch upon. Is there a way that you guys could help me a bit? I took my Paper 2 for History today and I messed up because I picked two questions from the same topic when the instructions say to pick them from different topics. ARE MY CHANCES For THE DIPLOMA GONE. I KNOW I AM BEING DRAMATIC BUT I ALMOST STARTED CRYING, BECAUSE LIKE TWO YEARS DOWN THE DRAIN ALL BECAUSE I FAILED TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I heard that incorporating historiography is what makes a difference between a 6 and a 7, but can anyone tell me how exactly are we supposed to incorporate them in the essays? Thank you so much!!

Hi! Okay so I know that each year IB releases the conversions for last year and for SL math (and most papers I think) and for the 2017 conversions they had conversions for paper 1, paper 2 and final. What conversions do they actual use to mark your paper? Do they determine your level using the Paper 1 and Paper 2 conversions or the final conversions?

Hi, does anyone have any tips for preparing for the paper 2 exam? I've been compiling quotes so far but there are just so many quotes I feel would be useful and I don't think I can remember all of them. I remember the plot points and things like that, but for some quotes I'm having trouble analysing them (finding specific literary features). Any tips would be appreciated!!

Stylistic features make up a big chunk of the final grade in the English L&L Paper 2. However, we don't get the texts when we are doing the exam. I feel like stylistic features are very specific and could only be applied to extracts and not whole books (try talking about a simile when you need to discuss the meaning of a book). I have Antigone and Pride and Prejudice as my assigned books. Any advice on how to incorporate stylistic features and which ones take note of?

Hi people! I am constantly getting a 12 on my Paper 2 practices, but am failing to reach that 7. I think the reason for this is my structure, and how it needs to be improved so I can write more coherently and tighter (if that makes sense). I was wondering how to structure my introduction and body paragraphs. For my introduction, I have been taught to primarily define the key concepts, give context, and then offer my thesis. Hey everyone So I've always been struggling with math and I am pretty sure I failed my paper two maths SL. So I was wondering how exactly will it be graded? I know I have to have at least a two as my final result but what if I passed Paper 1 with 2 points and failed paper two with 1 point and my IA was okay? If I fail one paper in my exams, will I fail the whole subject or will every grade be count together? I am pretty sure I failed the whole subject, but as I asked the Ib coordinator he wasn't sure and one of my friends who did Ib a while ago said it will be taken the average so even if

Hey guys, What do you think about paper 1 and paper 2? I found both of them really easy. For mocks, we had papers from November 2016 and the texts in paper 1 were really confusing, so May 2017 was a really nice surprise.

So all year round our English teacher has been urging us to include secondary quotes in our Paper 2 essays. The whole class never understood what these quotes were and frankly we still don't! Does anyone know what exactly these quotes are and if so, which websites do I get it from? Also, are these quotes taken from articles and reviews written by other people or... Help!

I am unsure in the economics exam whether I need to draw the diagrams for all the questions on the graph apper provided by the examiners, or if I draw it ont he answer booklet alongside my response to the question. Any help would be appreciated, I'm stressing out over this -
