So I am trying to get my math IA done this summer but am having a hard time choosing a topic that I like. I am really interested in film and cinematography and would like to incorporate it in my math IA but have found nothing on math ia topics that involved film from past math IA topics. I decided that I would come up with my own math IA exploration that has not been done before. My topic/question is "Does movies/films that use the Fibonacci sequence and Golden Ratio make high profits compared to movies that don't?" Is this a good idea for a math IA topic? Could I make it better? Are there any

Hello, We have to write up at least 1 -2 pages of our Math IA by Wednesday. I thought of using the Fibonacci numbers and how they are used in casinos for betting. I researched and it said that this, however, isn't good for the long term as it can cause a lot of money loss so I thought I'd use other types of number ( like the Lucas numbers etc) and compare them. However, I feel like it will be a very short topic and I won't be able to write 12 pages on it. Please help me build on this idea. Thank you!

for a math IA, would "how can imaginary numbers be applied to real life problems" a good question? i heard that it's mostly university students that use imaginary numbers so I'm wondering if that topic would be like too hard for a grade 12 student.... also does anyone have any ideas for real life problems where you can use imaginary numbers? thank you!! :DD

Hi, I just had my Economics SL Papers today and yesterday and just realised that I completely forgot to write the question numbers in the small boxes! I did write them (and everything is well structured, clear and easy to follow) but just not in the small boxes on the side of the answer sheet's page. I also wrote them correctly on the cover page but will I be penalised because I didn't write them in the small boxes? Should I contact my IB coordinator? Will IB examiners be flexible enough as I did write the questions properly but just not in these stupid boxes? I know it might not be a big deal
