Hello! I need some suggestions or at least a bit of help with an IA research question. I'm interested on the case of Jack the Ripper, although I am struggling terribly with a research question. I wanted to do something about the consequences after the Jack the Ripper case had been open up to the public. Like did the police changed the way they do their work? How did the public take it? Like that sort of thing, although I'm not sure where to start to do this research question.

Hi, I'm planning to do my IA on investigating the effect of different concentrations of cyanuric acid on the chlorine concentration in swimming pools. Hi! I'm new to the IB and i'll be starting it in a few weeks. I have no idea what to expect and I've heard from a lot of people that the ib is very difficult. My IA chemistry proposal duedate is about time. I really need your opinion on my ia chemistry hl topics. I had two ia topics on my mind; 1. The effectiveness of gastric pain medicines to neutralise hydrochloric acid (magnesium tablets, powdered or liquid) 2. Which type of sugar produces more carbon dioxide in yeast fermentation; natural or artificial? (Is yeast fermentation is a good idea? Or should i go for calorimeter or spectrometer?) Which one do you guys think it's more decent for my chemistry hl topics? I also welcome any recommendations, or comments. Thank you xoxo

I was planning on making a solid fuel rocket for my internal assessment and experimenting with momentum. So can I do experiments with rocket again on EE but this time it would be about aerodynamics or maybe a water rocket (I know its too simple for EE but I can't think of any other at the moment) for example?

Im literally so stressed right now, I have so much to do and all ive been doing is procastinate and not make proper use of the time I actually spend working. I work on something and go off topic quickly. I have an ITGS client that may or may not bail on me and I have to submite my product next week. I've not yet began filming and they are going out of the country for two weeks. Incase they do bail on me I need a backup plan. How do you fake an itgs ia? What are projects that I can do on my own and act as my own client?

Hi, I was just wondering if there was a way to make a computer science a discussion thread under the experimental science section? It seems kind of wild to me that there hasn't been one made already because it's probably one of the least talked about topics (even though the IA requirements are some of the most general and overall unhelpful). Especially since most computer science teachers probably aren't the best at teaching things like IAs (at least in my experience). Soon, I will have to produce my IA for business. I have chosen to study a foreign company, and because of that, I will have to give send them an e-mail to interview them. Their company has a relatively large following, so having a one-on-one interview to the Director is not really an option. I will have to give them (ideally) one email to ask them questions. I don't want to ask them useless questions that only waste their and my time (e.g. stuff that I can find easily in the internet, something too personal/unanswerable, etc.). Hey, I was curious about the plagiarism in IB. This is a hypothetical situation: Suppose, I download an EE online, which scored an A, and I rephrase the content (overall meaning remains the same). Turnitin will not give a very high percentage of plagiarism, due to the rephrasing, and suppose I get a plagiarism of 20%. But if you see my edited EE and the original one, you can clearly see I have copied off of it. Since IB examiners won't be checking each and every online EE side by side, is it possible that I could get away with this? And another situation, suppose I downloaded my

I am wondering how the IA's will affect the final IB grade. Let's say I have an accumulated 4 on my Econ IA. However, I get a 5 on my External Assessments (all 3)! What will be my Final grade? Will it be a 5 or a 4? I know the IA is 20% and the external Assesment is 80%. I was told that whatever I get on my External Assesment, will be final grade. The IA helps if the candidate is at the very end of a boundary. I have been getting different pieces of information. I am not sure how the IA works. Everyone keeps saying its "Only 20%", and the External Assessments are far more important.

Hey all, I desperately need help for my Biology IA. So I'm measuring the content of sugar in bananas with the use of Benedict's test. However, I have problems with the quantitative data because I can only get an approximate value for the results because it's more qualitative and can be obtained by observation rather than calculations. Can a good IA be produces with not much quantitative data? What do you think? I'm aiming for a 6 so that's why I really want to do my IA good. Thank you in advance

I'm realllllly struggling with my chemistry IA. My experiment was too easy and I'm not finding anything to write about. Anyway, if i get a 3 on this IA and get a 7 on all 3 papers, can I still get a 7 overall in Chemistry SL?? I think the worst I could get on this IA is a 3 but I might be able to do better.

Hi! I would like to know whether the following would be a suitable topic for Computer Science IA : - A database for universities that students can use and it will filter out the the specific university depending on certain criteria's such as grades, subjects, courses.
