Hi everyone! I have a lot of free time on my hands these days, and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for Math textbooks, websites or study guides that follow the grade 9 Ib curriculum? I wanted to see what subjects I haven't studied yet and which ones I'll have an easy time with. It'd be cool if you even name the textbook you used..... Tips for other subjects are appreciated too! Hi everyone! I'm going to be studying grade 9 pre-ib at St.Roberts next year, and I was wondering if anyone knows what science textbook is used for the science course? Even if you didn't go there, any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Sarvnaz

I'm currently in grade 8 and the pre-ib admissions test is on November 25th, I don't know what material will be on the test, and I don't know the proper way to study for a test. If you can help me that would be a huge help!

I recently got accepted into 2 IB schools in my region, one in the regular school board and one in the catholic school board. This year, our board announced that there would be 4 new schools to the 1 (I am in the York Region District School Board) already in place. Is it ok to go to a school which is starting it's IB program next year and is still training teachers? I can't say it is a too stellar school outside of the IB program. I would love to go to the school in the Catholic School board, but it is too far for my parents to drive and is a 1 hr and 15 min bus ride.

Hello~ I am in 9th grade currently, and I am planning on applying at MIT and Harvard when I graduate. I heard that both of these schools look at your reports from grade 9 onwards. However, I am on the borderline of a 6 and 7 (6.9) for my semester 1 english a report. Will this be a 6 or a 7 for my final report? Should I also ask the teacher if there are any extra tasks I can do to raise my grade? Thanks

I want to go into the ib program for gr 9 next year and I have a lot of questions. Do you just have to take an entry exam to be accepted into the ib program, or do you have to get recommended by your elementary teacher(s). And what concepts are on the exam in math? Also, if I got in, how much homework would I have per night?

Hey! I'm going to be starting the Pre-I.B French Immersion (grade 9) program this upcoming September, and I been trying to get a head start. I'm going to be doing a lot of reviewing and studying to help me prepare for pre-I.B! I was wondering if any of you can recall what you all learnt in grade 9 pre-I.B (english, science, french, math, etc...). I've tried researching the curriculum online, but I never get great results! Hi everyone! I'm going to be signing up for my courses in a few days for the Grade 9, Pre-I.B French Immersion Program and I've been debating taking standard level math or advanced. Math is not my best subject, and I'm not very confident with my math skills, but I think with a LOT of time and effort, I can make it through advanced. I do feel advanced might be a big push for me though, considering how math is not one of strongest subjects. Hello everyone, So for English (Grade 9), we got a parody assignment in which we have to make a parody of a poem that we have studied in class. I created a parody of the well-known poem 'A Poison Tree' by William Blake. We are expected to include 3-5 features of the original poem in our parody. Attached to this, is the original poem and the parody that I have created. I was wondering if this subject choice would be allowed. English HL History HL Economics HL French SL Math SL Biology SL I am in Grade 9 in Canada. I have also seen that some universities require HL Math for their Economics program. Would HL Economics be a substitute for that?
