Hey guys, I was woking on my maths internal assesment when I decided to look up soome examples online about my topic (golden ratio on my local city) and I found out that the topis is "overused" and that I could get a bad grade because the topic lacks from creativity. This golden ratio in architecture topic really interested me and even more considering that theres no information about it being used on my city online (Im from Montevideo, Uruguay) so I would be the one that makes the whole progress and maybe, that could compensate tge creativity issue. What do you guys think? Is it really lik

Hello everyone, I am investigating to what extent perceived facial attraction is quantifiable using the golden ratio-more specifically how attractive a face is considered depending on how closely it conforms to 'Marquardt's Phi mask'. The survey is very fast, easy to answer and above all entertaining (I have spent many hours laughing whilst editing these photos!). Here is the link: https://www.surveylegend.com/s/3q7k Thank you!

Hi everyone! This is a survey for my Math Internal Assignment (for the IB diploma). I am analyzing how humans perceive beauty, specifically if people consider a face more attractive if it is closer to the Golden Ratio. It is a quick, anonymous survey which will take only a few minutes and it would be a great help to me! It took me a long time to edit all of these photos so I would be really grateful if you participated in it, thank you! Link: https://www.surveylegend.com/s/122r

So I am trying to get my math IA done this summer but am having a hard time choosing a topic that I like. I am really interested in film and cinematography and would like to incorporate it in my math IA but have found nothing on math ia topics that involved film from past math IA topics. I decided that I would come up with my own math IA exploration that has not been done before. My topic/question is "Does movies/films that use the Fibonacci sequence and Golden Ratio make high profits compared to movies that don't?" Is this a good idea for a math IA topic? Could I make it better? Are there any

Hello! I am currently starting my EE and am having trouble deciding whether my topic choice for Math is too broad and/or does not have a real world application that could be fit into an EE. My research question so far is "How can the golden ratio be applied to website design?" Although, I am thinking about choosing a different area of design to apply the golden ratio to (i.e. logos), or forgoing a different area to apply the golden ratio to such as photography or art. It is all a bit overwhelming currently, and I am looking to see if the direction I am heading to is a good start for my math EE

Not the bees not the bees! OH GOD! Crappy Nicolas Cage movies aside, I'd really like to do my IA on the Fibonacci sequence and the way it relates to honeybee family trees. Here is a pretty solid description of the basic principle. It seems a bit simple though. I was wondering if anybody had some ideas as to how I could complicate it a little to make it more relevant to SL Math. Any and all help is much appreciated!
