I am currently considering taking Eng B L&L as an HL subject and Mandarin B L&L as SL, but I'm not sure whether it is allowed by the IBO as well as my school. From what i know, a number of students in China and HongKong do choose the combo above. Needless to say, studying their mother language at a foreigner level in Mandarin B is an easy peasy to them and that basically means they got straight 7s all the time without even revising. These are my DP subjects: English A French/Spanish Geography Chemistry Math Computer Science As I would be taking the computer science major in University, I was planning to take CS HL, Chem HL, Math HL, and if possible English HL too. However I really want to be able to attend NUS (National University of Singapore) or ETH Zurich in Switzerland, and thus I'm still a bit confused on how I should select my DP subjects and their levels to satisfy their requirements and further enhance my admission possibility acceptance in the future. Hi fellow survivors. I am starting the diploma program this year, and I am not sure how to get organized. During the pandemic I go to school every other day, so some content is provided online, but we still get a lot of handouts. I also prefer to take notes on paper, as I feel I retain information better that way. Any thoughts on how I can stay organized?

anyone who’s done ib on pamoja.....I want to switch from cp to dp but am not able to due to seat time requirements. I want to propose making up the time online through pamoja. do you have to pay for the courses,,, and can I just do half the course on pamoja and the rest in school?? PLEASE HELP ASAP!

My extended essay is in English A: Lang and Lit and I am very concerned. The book I chose is To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I am worried if it is good enough to only analyze. one book My essay analyzes the effect of the history of Alabama and Harper Lee on symbols and its effect on the audience of the book. I am not sure whether it is a good extended essay idea. I've already completed around 2500 words for the essay and I'm not sure if the outline is good. PLEASE HELP!!

So the teacher gave us a past paper where we had to analyse and compare and contrast between two texts. I kind of struggle with writing that because I had no idea how to build up on the analysis. I scored pretty poorly on that and I asked the teacher for some feedback and she told me that my text wasn't organised and that it was all over the place. So I was wondering if anyone could please tell me how to structure the text for analyzing and comparing and contrasting between two texts? -
I went to my new school to take the entrance exam and during the interview, one of the teacher asked me to not take IB Full DP. And i was confused and due to lack of my english skill, they recommend to take some of the subjects and they said that i don’t need to do an EA or IA or TOK. They told me that I can take only english b in group2 for studying langage. English is not my first language so i was quiet hard to understand what they talked to me. Does anyone have idea for this? And how is it possible to take some of subjects? -
I’m a little conflicted about choosing which subjects to take as higher levels. My school forces us to take English and History HL, so I basically only get the option of one other HL. That will probably be Chem, but I’m also considering Math HL. Because of my school’s requirements I’ve been considering taking 4 HLs since I hesr that colleges don’t often look at SL classes. I’m a straight A student, but I struggle with time management a lot, and I realize the commitment I’d need to make. Are my subject selections alright If I wanna major in Social Work or Psychology in university? Im choosing my subjects tomorrow HL Econ, Psychology, Bahasa B (native language) SL Biology, English A, Math Studies omg yeah math studies is embarrassing but i'm really really bad at math :/ and is it dumb if i choose Econ HL alongside math studies? Hello all, I am Pre-IB student looking for options to take Economics either SL or HL in DP. My school does not offer these courses, so I wish to take them online. I already decided that I am going to take Philosopy SL online due to my passion for the subject, but I am unsure of Economics. How is the learning environment in Pamoja online courses? What are its strengths and weaknesses in terms of its ability to foster academic development? Especially, what is the degree to which the teachers are supportive? Less importantly, are there any other online courses? I heard of the Elite in London

Hi, I will be starting IB DP next year and I've been facing some issue with my choices for group 2. My choices were French and Spanish. I've studied French for 3 years, and now I am at phase 2 and still, I get 3s and 4s. But the reason why I get such grades is that I don't care about French and honestly I don't like learning languages. On the other hand, I have Spanish ab initio that I've never learnt in my life. So I'm an Egyptian IB student and I want to study software engineering/computer science after finishing my diploma. Hey, I'm an IB student currently doing the 5th year of the MYP and moving onto the DP next year. My art teacher has recommended I should take art as I am currently achieving top marks in it and she likes my creativity. I want to study medicine after the DP and therefore need Biology and Chemistry. Since I can't drop either of them, I'm currently considering taking Art HL as a 7th subject. Hey Guys, im currently in grade 10 and currently selecting my courses for dp. In the future, I want to study majors like computer science, software, computer or electronic engineering(Possibly). So I am currently planning to take math physics and chemistry for my HL courses. However personally im just not into chem and doesn't really have much passion to study chem in depth. I am about to enter the IB DP programme by the end of this summer. Having to choose subjects, I am pondering wether to study English B or English A2 (language and literature). Swedish is my first language and I will study Swedish A2. English is my second language but I am fairly good at it and it has always been one of my stronger subjects. However, I am concerned with the "literature" part in A2. Reading isn't of my greater interests, so having exams related to literature could stand in the way for me to get a 7.
