My math IA is due soon and I was going to focus on weight vs. heigh of jump (grande jete) of ballet dancers. iw as going to take my data from famous dancers and analyse the videos in LoggerPro but I realised that I don't know the scale of the video and each dancer is a different distances from the camera. What should I do? Another idea I had was to look at the height vs. flexibility of a dancer and I could collect the data myself by getting dancers I know to do "sit-and-reach" tests. I would then find the minimum, maximum, median, lower and upper quartile, and IQR. Then I would create a scatte

Hey everyone, I've noticed that there is a lack of Theater Arts students on this website and I struggle to find help and advice for my Theater class. Today I decided to put that behind me considering I have been through a lot during my theater journey and decided it would be easier for me to just create a forum for the new Theater Arts students from 2016 onward. This forum will be a discussion point for everything Theater based from the Nov 2016 session and for the years to come (unless they change the syllabus again). Please feel free to ask me any questions that might concern you

Hello, everyone! I think that for the most part, the IB program is great and it's beneficial to have to take six subjects; one from each group. However, something that bothers me is that taking a subject from the arts is not required. It seems like the ultimate gesture, even by the IB, that the arts are worth less than other subjects. Maybe to an extent you can't study for them in the same way as other subjects, but I think they should be valued the same as other subjects. How can the IB call themselves fully rounded if an art isn't required? What do you guys think of this? Do you think it

I am about to start my junior year and was planning to take my IB art this year so I can take a extra class senior year. I am considering IB Dance SL, but am worried about how I may perform in the class (grade wise). I have ten years of dance and gymnastic experience (quit freshman year to play tennis) but I wouldn't want to overestimate the rigor of IB and fail the class...just wondering from your experience if that will be enough after a two year break? I feel confident in my skills and such but, what exactly does one do in IB Dance? What kind of experience did you have before taking the cl

Hi everyone, I'm going to take IB this September, and I'm really confused if I should take dance SL. I feel that I'm quite interested in it, but it's just a kind of feeling...cuz I don't have any prior experience in performance or appreciation of dance. And as it's a pilot subject, I suppose there isn't much related material I can refer to..? I really need help!! Thanks.
