I'm from class 2021 (which means that I'll start DP next school year) and I had just recently learned that there are going to be changes in the math curriculum going into effect starting next year. So I heard that maths will be divided into 2 different subjects, Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretations. With these new changes and my subject selection coming soon, there are a few questions I would like to ask: 1. What are the differences between the two 2. How do they compare to the current Math curriculum (Studies, SL, HL) in terms of difficulty/workload

Hi everyone! I'm going to be signing up for my courses in a few days for the Grade 9, Pre-I.B French Immersion Program and I've been debating taking standard level math or advanced. Math is not my best subject, and I'm not very confident with my math skills, but I think with a LOT of time and effort, I can make it through advanced. I do feel advanced might be a big push for me though, considering how math is not one of strongest subjects. I've also heard it's better to start in the advanced program rather then try to jump into it in grade 10 or 11... is this true? I was wondering if some

I've recently found out that there is a new curriculum for IB Visual Arts, with first examinations taking place in 2016, so this only effects people starting the course this year. The new syllabus can be found here and blog posts explaining the new curriculum can be found here and here. Even though I only started the course in August I was really familiar with old syllabus: the A/B options and the IWB/studio work as the assessed components. I'm currently in pre-ib ant my school and graduating students are selling their science textbooks. Before buying them, my dad wants to know if the curriculum is changing soon. I'll be writing my exams in May 2016, so will the science curriculum (bio and chem) be different next year when I'm starting IB? Will I need to get different textbooks?

I'm going to be taking the exams in May 2015. My biology teacher is pretty new to the IB system and she overheard some other teachers talking about that there will be changes in the biology curriculum next year. Will that affect the class of 2015 or not? Because if yes then we'll have to buy new books and I'm really worried that we won't have time to go through every topic. Thanks

So i heard there was something changed regarding the World Lit into something called the reflective statements or something I'm not really sure.. Can someone please help me out?
