Hello everyone, I’m starting IB in four months and I have one month left to choose my initial subjects. I want to study either biology, political science or anthropology in university (I know it’s a wide range of majors). What subjects should I choose? My initial choices would be: Language A: English German Ab Social and Cultural Anthropology Biology Maths AI Global Politics (I haven’t decide which ones I want to take on a higher level) Should I take up Chemistry instead of one of these? (sorry this was a long one)

Hey!! I'm starting IB in less than a month and I already chose my subjects because I wanted to major in Psychology. However, I am now leaning towards veterinary science. At first, I chose bio SL. To be a vet, I first need to have a bachelor degree in Biological Science. The uni I plan on going does not require chem. But, if I do major in biological science, there will be some chem classes. I am for sure taking Bio but I am not sure if I should move it to HL and add Chem SL. My question here is how hard is BIO HL compared to BIO SL? (I'm interested in bio) Will chem SL help me in uni

Can someone explain to me the statistical analysis option for the Bio IA (I'm in HL if that helps)... Our teacher gave us a really bad explanation and I don't understand. We talked about IA's in class like once and never again so our teacher didn't really give us any time or help at all with this so I figure this is the easier route -- how do you do this type of IA and what's the best way to go about it??? Plz help. Thank u fams.

Hey everyone, I have been researching for a biology ee topic to work on but it's been almost a month and I have nothing doable in hand. My Biology teacher, (who is most likely going to be my advisor) has very little to no experience with extended essay and is advising me to choose another subject. I want to major in Bioengineering and Bio HL is my favorite subject, I also want this to help me with admissions and I aim at mentioning this work in my applications but EVERY SINGLE teacher of mine advises me to change my subject as a group 4 EE is apparently extremely difficult to get an A in

Hi everyone, I wish you all good luck on your exams. I did my grade11 biology HL exam a week ago and I managed to get a 2. I studied a lot but I still couldn't get a passing grade. A lot of people from our grade have the same problem since the beginning of the year since we are all having problems with our teachers (They are new to the ib and have no idea what they are teaching). I Studied and made my own notes using http://bioknowledgy.weebly.com/ as I really found their presentations helpful and I did most pastpapers from 2008-2013. Because I am doing well on the other 5 subjects I was

Hey guys, As stated in the topic title, our school is having trouble finding a proper biology teacher, let alone one that is IB certified. I just have a few questions if this lab would be eligible or if it seems "good enough" to score well for Bio HL. I am hoping to send this in for the "design" criteria.. Basically, I want to set up an experiment to compare the breakdown of lactose using lactaid pills (or other similar pills) for skim milk vs. whole milk. My hypothesis is that it would take a bit longer to breakdown lactose in skim milk because there's more of it (lower the fat content, h

Hey guys I have a few questions regarding the biology internal assessments, since our teacher is new to the IB, he isn't sure of what's going on either... 1) To my understanding, we have to send in at least two labs, and we can kind of choose which criteria to be assessed on? Does this mean we only have to send that part of the lab report or do we still have to send the whole thing? (i.e. I choose to be evaluated on DCP for this lab, so do I send in the whole lab or just the DCP part?) 2) Is there a lot of difference between assessing bio hl vs. bio sl labs? I'm doing hl and I'm afraid my l
