I am going to an IB school next year and have one question; My school offers Language A English, German, French etc. But as Language B only French, English and Spanish. I am fluent in german, quite good in english but just have very less knowledge in French( had it for 4 years but did not study it at all). Now my question is if I should pick English as A, because it is important for universities(??) and French as B. Or German as A and English as B? Would be very thankful for an answer!

After welllll past 24 hours of brainstorming, I have nothing to show for it. Despite my ideas being somewhat creative and interesting, they are deemed unworthy by my holy chem teacher. It seems like no matter what I do I can't either measure or even investigate the topic. Cab anyone please help me?

HI IM WRITING AN ENGLISH GROUP 3 EXTENDED ESSAY AND MY BROAD TOPIC IS GRETA THUNBERG SPEECHES. I have to come up with a list of 4-6 specificic subtopics to explore in my EE by tomorrow. Have any of yall written an EE about speeches?? Maybe I could compare her to someone else, but I don't know who? Would simply analyzing a few different famous speeches (like her ted talk, her un speech, EU speech, etc.) be enough??? PLEASE RESPOND IM VERY STRESSED RN -
For my IOP I choose the book MacBeth. I would love to do a creative/Role Play IOP, but I am having trouble coming up with a topic that is compatible with the creative interactive format. Does anyone have any good ideas or tips to find a good topic?

Hello all, Arabic is my native language and i will be doing my EE in Arabic B because i take arabic BHL, which the IB coordinator at my school suggested. My supervisor suggested a topic that she said was really good and would get me a good grade hopefully an A. the thing is that i dont really know how to write an EE in arabic. what do i write first? what do i write in the introduction? in the abstract? can i use online resources? Hello guys, so I am currently in year one of IB diploma and in the middle of it, I have to move away to another country. I know that it will somehow affect my study and it will be really stressful for me. I have to change two of my subjects cause the school im moving to doesnt offer the subjects. Im also stressed out because in my current school, we haven't start our EE and IAs yet but the school I am going to started theirs already. How can I be able to cope with this? How am I be able to catch up in a new environment?

Hey, I need help finding a research question for my Global Politics Extended Essay. I want to write about 9/11 but I have no Idea of what to write about or what to do. My supervisor is new to IB and doesn't know anything about the program or anything and I'm starting to get really worried. I just need help finding or a little guidance to find a narrow research question related to 9/11, please.

Long story short, I did a bio extended essay, messed up the experiment, instead of isolated colonies I got a single weird blob. No data collected. Failed the experiment. Am I allowed to use external data to support my arguments?

So I started off with choosing The Civil Rights Movement as my topic for the Extended Essay but then I was told not to pick a topic that's so common, because the markers usually get tired of seeing the same thing over and over again. And also, if you're going to do a topic that's so well known, it has to be exceptional. So I was hoping if you guys could please put some suggestions that I could focus on that has a sufficient information for me to able to conduct the essay. Thank you! x

Okay, so our biology teacher is a noob and we need help. She doesn't know what she's doing at all. She gives us the same tests that she gives her standard biology classes and we haven't covered the whole book at all. What do I do? I know for a fact that whatever she does won't help. So how do I save myself? What can I do to teach myself one of my least favorite subject? Please help me. I am dying and I don't want to fail.

Hi everybody, I was planning on doing my EE on Advertisements and more specifically... Celebrity endorsements on instagram. However, one of the celebrities that I was planning on writing about deleted his instagram and i am left here wondering if i should scrap my topic and do another one that is 'safer' (gender stereotypes in advertisements) or if i should change from Adidas to Calvin Klein. Hi everyone, I am just about to start the second semester of my gr 11 year, and as such I am beginning my extended essay. I am writing on The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, and I have come up with the following question: How does the use of colours in Markus Zusak’s The Book Thief underline how Death comes to understand the dichotomy between the concepts of beauty and brutality? ok so like on the IB SL chem exam if i get a 7 on paper 1 and like a 1 on paper 2 and like i do ok on my IA, what will my final mark out of 7 be??? my school is doing a mock ib exam to help us prepare and we just did paper 1 today and I think I did well on it so like im just trying to see how hard I need to study for paper 2 pLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!!!! thank u

Hello IB folks, I will go straight into my topic. So, my stoichiometry unit exam is in 2 days... (Im grade 11 btw) and I am so stuck on some of these questions.... I am very much familiar with the sub topics (molar masses/conversions/solution/dilution/etc.), but when it comes to actual stoiciometry word problems, I am just stumped... I find it so hard to solve them because often times, I don't know where to start or the approach to the questions...(although not all of them...) I am sitting here with a batch of sample word problems, and they are just so hard to get by because

Hey guys, I know that there is an overload of these things on here but I thought hey I could always try it. Okay so my question is... Is my IA to easy? I am planning on doing a lab about the density of vegetables and the nutritional value of them. However one quick search on the internet gives around a 20403 million hits. So how can I change this to a valid lab for my IA Please keep in mind that I suck at Bio and that I want an easy IA to get my grade up Thanks for the replies!
