I wanted to ask this as I'm trying to get into IB through a scolarship (in a private school). The only public (state) school that offers IB near me is a little expensive and has a really high cut-off mark. How did you get into IB? Are you in a private or state school? And how much do you spend in the programme? Or aren't you paying at all?

Hello IB Survival, I am a Junior in IB, and i'm currently working on a game for the iOS devices. Im using objective-c in XCODE to make the game, pure apple code from pure scratch. Its a new skill that i learned, and im working collaboratively with a friend. I can definitely reflect many hours on this project, and making it fit into CAS is no problem. HOWEVER, after working so hard on the game and realizing its potential, me and my partner decided to make the game have advertisements, for which we would receive payment depending on user impressions. Hey, for those of you who know, what exactly are we receiving when we pay for our tuition in the Diploma program? I find it kind of hard to believe that we have to pay such high amounts of money for exam fees, teacher training, and classroom resources... So could someone who's been through this give me some sort of insights as to what your classroom experience is/was? And is it recommended that we buy our own textbooks? thanks
