  1. Hey guys! I am in IB year 1 and I want to pursue finance and economics at LSE. I have taken Maths AA at HL because I came to know that LSE prefers AA over AI. Did I make the right choice? Please help me out.
  2. Im a student in Sweden with the subjects; English A HL Economics HL History HL Math SL Swedish A SL ESS SL I'm very sure that I want to apply to an University in the UK, and study Economics. A school I'm very keen on is LSe (London School of Political and Economical Science). Courses of my interest; BSc Philosphy and Economics BSc Economics BSc Econometrics and Mathematical Economics They generally require International Baccalaureate: Diploma with 38 points including 7 6 6 at Higher level, including 7 in Mathematics Do they mean that it's a must to have a 7

    LSE Doubts

Can I apply to LSE (London School Of Economics) for a Bsc in Economics? I have heard that for most of their programs they require Maths HL. My subjects; History- HL, Eco- HL, Eng- HL, Math- SL, French B- SL and Bio- SL.
  4. Anyone applying to LSE accounting and finance? Did anyone receive an offer yet?
  5. I was wondering if anyone knows someone that has gotten into the LSE accounting and finance program with SL maths? My predicted grade is 42 with a 7 in SL maths but what I'm afraid of is by having sl maths i automatically lose to anyone who applied with HL maths. Is that the case? Does anyone have any experience in this matter with LSE?
  6. Hello Current Ib choices HL: Biology English A1 Literature Economics SL: Maths Ab Spanish Film Studies I have my heart set on UCL law, is this subject range appealing to universities? Will taking film studies disadvantage me I have heard unis do not really pay attention to Sl subjects? Also, if you don't mind me asking, what were/are your IB subjects if your aspiration is to study law?
  7. Hello guys I have just recently read the entry requirements for the LSE Accounting & Finance undergraduate course it states that LSE will require you to have 38 points HL math is desired but not necessary. Based on the fact that LSE does not have interviews with their potential students I would guess that they do only take into account your motivational letter or personal statement and obviously your grades. Now to my question ! How high is the chance of getting accepted with lets say 39 points and SL math but a very appealing personal statement and CV ? Of course I know that nobod

    Applying to LSE

Hi, I have applied for the Social policy and economics course at LSE this friday. However, my other University choices were either economics or economics and management. My personal statement, though, is weighted a lot towards economics, but DOES have a section on social policy. Predicted 42/45 IB points (HL - 7 in Economics, 7 in English B, 6 in Mathematics and 6 in History, SL - 6 in Physics and 7 in Russian A, TOK - A, EE - A). Do I stand a chance of getting an offer from Social Policy and Economics course?
  9. I'm not applying for a course that has ANY subject requirements, they just want 38. My personal statement is incredibly strong, I'll post it after I've applied. But yeah, is it worth the risk ?
  10. So, my end goal is to be working in corporate law. Originally, I was planning to study a more academic-based undergrad degree in the UK (such as Oxford's PPE or UCL's ESPS), and then study law at graduate level in the USA, however the more I think about it, the more I'd rather do law in the UK and then do an MBA in the States. However, one thing that's worrying me is the fact that I have no work experience in the legal field. I've heard conflicting reports on this topic, but the general consensus seems to be legal work experience is highly desired for law applicants. Being a November 2012 sess
