I'm looking to write an IB Math HL AA IA (Exploration) related to Probabilistic Language Models (like predicting future words with n-grams) or anything related to linguistics. I'm having trouble picking a topic though that will have the correct mathematical rigor and sophistication and are able to be structured like an IA. Are there any topics within the field that could make a good IA question that I could research? Thank you so much!

Hi, I need some help in finding a good Maths HL IA topic. For the past few weeks I have been looking for a good Maths Hl exploration related to discrete maths however I failed to find one good one. Some of the things I looked at were the Chinese postman problem, the four color theorem and Travelling salesman problem, however the problem with these is that, I don’t think there is enough content to write 10 pages on them. I would really appreciate if someone could suggest some topic or even some areas that I could look at for Maths Hl IA, preferably related to discrete maths. Thank

IA (Further) Deriving Poiseuille's Equation w Explanation : SOS!
Guest posted a topic in Maths HL & Further
I'm in Math SL, and for my IA, I'm calculating the rate of blood flow using Poiseuille's equation. The thing is, I'm not in Physics, I'm in Bio, so I need a detailed explanation for the equation - basically a lesson. Please help me, this is due next week, and I've been looking at multiple other topics but all of them were HL, yet this one was acceptable. Please, I'm literally begging, tutor me! I've found some sites that derive the equation, but I find it hard to understand, because the article can't answer my questions.-

So I was doing my math IA, and I had some problems with solving the equations (3x3 systems of equations). If my friend explained how to solve them and so we use the same algebraic method, could this be considered as plagiarism? Because everything else is different, only these methods are the same, but comeon, there are not, like, million methods to solve them... What do you guys think? I am freaking about this right now, as I don't know what to do, I really don't want to plagiarise anything whatsoever. Cheers.
