Hi everyone, I am researching for my history EE, and I am having troubles with finding the evidence for an event. The event consists in a conversation between the king and Mussolini, which is mentioned in multiple books but without any reference to a primary source, but always to other secondary sources (other historians' books ) or no reference at all. My supervisor was bemoaning this, however it seems fair that there is no "transcript" of a private conversation. Is it common\acceptable? How can I back this event better? Thank you in advance -
I still have a while before I have to officially start choosing a topic for my History IA but i was wondering if these were a good start: How does the play Hamilton describe the victory of the United States in the American revolution? Are there any websites or online help on how to structure and create a good history IA? I am also struggling with selecting a topic. I know I am going to do something about Catherine the Great as I believe she was a major influence on Modern Russia. However, I am not sure on which part about Catherine the Great I should do. I feel like the overthrowing of her would have a lot of material but might be too popular so I am looking into maybe the impact of one of her policies/acts (medical influence perhaps?) or how she managed to overthrow her own husband to become empress of Russia. hey there! so i have my history exams in a little over a week (i'm in HL & we studied 20th century history but that's not super relevant to my question) & i'm kind of freaked out about the 90min time limit for paper 2. my question is: say i only have time to finish writing one essay in those 90 minutes, assuming its a decent/good essay, what kind of score will i get? just so that i can gauge how concerned i need to be with making sure i get both essays completed in time. (also, i'm not trying to do super well in history or anything, i just want a 3 or higher so that i can ge

Hey. I have to choose my ib subjects sby the end of this month and I can't decide whether to take geography or history sl ?. Some other subjects that im taking are: Chemistry Hl, Biology HL, English A Hl, Spanish B SL, Maths Sl. Im not sure about what I want to do in the future, possibly sth to do with medicine or business. I just wanna keep my options open so which Group 3 subject would you advise me to take?? Also, which one would you say is harder history or geo sl ? Thanks is advance

I have to make a decision on my IB subjects next month. I'm thinking of taking the following subjects, but I'm not sure if they're too hard. Chemistry HL Biology HL English Lit HL History SL Maths SL Spanish B SL I definitely need to take Chemistry and Biology in HL, because I'm considering medicine in the UK, but I'm not sure if these subjects are difficult 6/7s or if they're too time consuming. Spanish B in my school last year every single person got a 7, but all the other subjects are more challenging. Do you think this is reasonable?

Hi, My subject selection application is due tomorrow and I'm having trouble with deciding for my group 3. I plan to take communications in uni and I plan to go to the US. So in this case, history is the more useful choice. Though, I should also consider what I think I'll do better in. I've studied econ before and I felt like I was good at it and I enjoyed it. So now I'm having a dilemma between Econ or History. Which should I go with?

Hi everyone, I'm planning to finish my economics final exam revision this week and would like to tackle history next. My question is, are there any good guides out there? The economics syllabus is fantastic. It gives you a chapter-per-chapter, almost paragraph-per-paragraph list of exactly what you have to know. Then I simply look in my book/notes/revision booklet and fill in the extra information needed. I'm looking for something similar that will give me a list of all events/topics I need to know how history, possibly in list-form with preliminary information, so that I can do my revision an

I am thinking of swapping from History SL to Film SL because there are no final exams, and although less interesting than history, seems like a fun course. The only thing that worries me about History is that your exams pretty much determines your grade whereas in film you can guarantee your mark.
