So I just got all my grades for my subjects. For a year 1 exam. And they're not that good. I put in so much of work. I studied for hours. I spent at least 30 hours on my art submission. Another at least 20 hours on each subject. And now I feel horrible. I feel like my work is pointless. I don't ever feel like working hard again cause what the point if all it'll get me is a freaking low 6?! Six is not a bad grade; I know. And my school grades us harshly to make us study more. But I just feel demotivated. I worked so hard... Harder than I did for my IGCSEs and now I just... I hat

for my 11th finals in IB, i got a total of 33/42 which is terrible according to me. i usually used to get like 35-37 but my final grades just dropped for sm reason. HOW IMP ARE THESE FINAL GRADES? DO I STILL HAVE A CHANCE OF GETTING GOOD PREDICTED SCORES??

SO many people say "a 7 in IB is harder to get then an A or a 5 in AP".. so then how would college admissions look at the gradings of IB on our transcript.. Would 5 be like a B+? 6 = A? 7= A++? I'm curious how "bad" a 5 would look on my junior transcript...

For those who are planning to attend universities in the US, we know US colleges value grade 11 (junior) GPA/grades the most... Also, semester 1 of senior year. On top of that, they say the FINAL SEMESTER of grade 11 is most important... My SEMESTER 1 of junior year was.... HL: 5,6,6 & SL: 5,6,6 which aren't the greatest grades if i wanna attend top universities. And before junior year, grades were all very strong. Considering that my final sem of junior year which is more important will be better (more 7s and 6s and no 5s), would i STILL have a chance with these t -
Hello, I’m in DP1 and this year my average grade for nearly all my subjects is a 6. And because of this pandemic, some of my grades have dropped. If I were to study a lot in the summer, what is the probability that I will improve my grades before January 15th (final predicted grades used for universities). Is it too late? I am freaking out.

HL's: ECON, HISTORY, SPANISH SL's:ENGLISH,MATH AA, CHEMISTRY Chose Econ and History because its interesting and I think I could do well in them. I chose Spanish because its easy and I wanna get some free points. I chose the SL's because they are not that hard and would keep me interested. The only thing I wouldn't change is ECON HL and ENGLISH SL. Is this a good choice that could maximize my points.

Hi, my name is Kylie and this year has been really stressful. I transferred into the IB program 4 weeks late so the first quarter was me doing makeup work while keeping up with the work given. The first quarter is ending in two days and my grades are very bad, ending with 2As, 5bs and 1 C in HL BIO. Hello, I am currently at a school running the IB diploma for the first time ever and my grade has become the Guinea pigs. This is fine but students are convinced that the school is not running it properly. At the moment, my predicted grades are a concern. In french class, my teacher has not converted any of our grades from IB to the regular diploma scores. In addition, she is not weighting the ib-styled exams as much as content for the province’s curriculum. Meanwhile in math class, my ib-styled exam was higher, so was my IA and so is the mean of all my tests and assignments this year. I

Well, is it possible? I get good okayish grades in every other subject, but I'm bound to get a 1 in math studies. I've worked hard in math but I'm just not a math kind of guy, and I've heard a sufficient grade average makes up for a 1 in math, but I've seen people on here claim a single 1 keeps you from getting the diploma. Can I get a final verdict?

SOoooo I being open here is the IB always this hard. I'm a year 1 and I'm 2 months into school. So far I am doing terrible in all of my classes except Mandarin SL. Can anyone else relate to the first few months being rough annnnnnndddd how do I get out of this bad grade slump because I've NEVER gotten the kind of grades I'm getting right now, like ever, in my life. It gets better right? Because if yes, how did ya'll do it??

Hello everybody, So i did the IB exams may 2017 and I ended up with a final result of 27 points which I am quite pleased with considering how I really struggled throughout the programme and was predicted to fail. However, the only grade I don't like is the grade 2 I got in Maths SL. I really regret taking SL and wish would have taken Studies instead. I am actually going to resit Maths SL and although I have studied, it has been a struggle to do so independently. hey, this is my first post so im kind of not sure how to write these. i was looking at groningen univesity to study physics and im confused on the requirments. my clases are: Math, History, English A lang lit = HL Physics,French Ab, ITGS = SL so im not sure if i can do the course without Physics HL. I cant chnage because of the way my schools time table is set up. if i cant, are there any other good Physics Bachelor programms in europe where i can apply with Physics Sl? cause, from what i understand, Math Hl is more important because Physics is very math based.

So I have been in the IB Program since kindergarten and now I am in 9th grade at the IB High School and they kick people out but I have seen the seniors class of 2018 most of them have and hair grades below an 80 in Mississippi you must maintain in 80 or above in IB. I have a 71 average in Spanish and a 57 average in geometry but I haven't 80 in above and all of my six classes. Im not sure if i will pass this semester. They have to give probation letters before they kick you out. They always said 2nd term they give letter amd they kick you out come Christmas. But once a again their are seniors

I got a really low grade the first year of IB (28 points) and I'm wondering if it is possible and has it been done before that someone has improved their final ib score to around the middle-high 30's (34-38). For my grades I achieved scores of 6 - 6 - 6 - 6 - 2 - 2. The subjects I got 2's in were physics HL and math SL. Is it possible to perform a comeback in the IB from the first year? I'm currently struggling with the tok essay , i chose the 5th prescribed tittle 'the best explanation is the simplest explanation' .since it is necessary for the maximum grade to have ''a sustained focus on knowledge questions connected to the prescribed title—developed with investigation of different perspectives and linked effectively to areas of knowledge and/or ways of knowing.'' this is not clear enough since i read reports about the tok essay that said many students didnt use knowledge questions properly , plus we dont have anyone that can help us with tok in the

Hi I want to know if i will pass my ib diploma if for example i get a total of more than 24 points, and 3 of my higher level subjects add up to 12 or more points, but one of my higher level subject scores a level 3, will i still get my diploma? Please help

so im in 11th grade right now, and currently i take HL Chem - 3 HL bio - 3 Hl psychology - 6 Sl Math - 3 Spanish abinitio - 5 TOK - 3 SL English lang/lit - 4 I know these are pretty bad grades and i am wondering if i will be able to pass the ib diploma programme. Should i be worried about the threes? I feel like the grades wont get any better. Anyone know what I should do?

So I applied for the Pre-IB program and personally think it's a good program for me. The school that I'm applying to (Turner Fenton SS in Ontario) does not have an entrance exam.All you have to do is submit your Grade 7 final report card results, your Grade 8 progress report card, and answer 2 questions.1. Hi guys, I currently have a 6 from German B SL. My Paper 2's are usually moving around 20 to 22 points out of 25, so basically a 6, however my huge weakness is the Paper 1, which I sometimes even get a 4 on. I have a question. I cannot seem to understand how I can prepare or improve my skills in the Paper 1's, do you guys have any special techniques or any tips? My MYP German teacher was completely useless and I feel I am catching up everything in these two years. I am graduating soon, so any feedback would be appreacited.
