Hi fellow procrastinators! I'm currently a junior and I am having second thoughts on taking HL French. Right now, I'm losing confidence in doing well because I've been seeing some discussions that say a number of people around the world that take HL French are somewhat fluent. As someone that is quite "average" at French, I'm curious on how difficult it is exactly to pass HL French. So far my skill level has been hard to evaluate because my teacher focuses on the immersion experience, so more talking, and less grammar and vocab. I am moving and switching schools for my junior and senior year and my new school offers IB. I am pretty interested in getting an IB diploma but I'm not sure which course option to take. Both options have English HL, History HL, Calculus SL, and Environmental Systems and Society SL as core classes. My choice is to either take Visual Arts HL and French SL, or take French HL and either Visual Arts SL or Biology SL. The thing is, I really am not interested in French or Art, but I have taken 3 years of french and averaged over 95% in the class. I took a Basic Art Forms class last year a

Hello all! So I am having to decide on which IB subjects I would like to take at the higher level. I have decided on Eng. HL, Bio HL and am currently debating whether I should take History HL or French HL.... See, I received good marks in both history and french last year (7 and 6 respectively), but I don't know which one I will score better on during final IB exams.... I love writing essays in history but the sheer AMOUNT of stuff to go through for history HL is intimidating to me....I've heard a lot of horror stories about how hard the history HL exam can be....
