My chem ee is researching a substance contained in red wine. One of my teachers told me is inappropriate because the school does not allow any alcohol. But I still want to keep this topic concerning whether research on red wine will affect my grades.

So I have decided to do my extended essay in chemistry. The research question I have so far is: "How does oleic acid concentration vary in 5 different brands of olive oil." I am planning to do this using acid-base titration. After reviewing some of the chemistry EE exemplars, I feel that my ee is going to be too simple, and I won't be able to cover it in 4000 words. Mostly because there is no great difference between the different olive oil brands, and its quite difficult to find out the type of olive used in the making of the olive oil. Hello! I'm currently brainstorming on research questions for a Chemistry EE. I would like to do my EE on something in the area of medicine and drugs, but i am having trouble finding a specific research question. So far i am thinking of doing it on some kind of comparison between acetaminophen, aspririn and ibuprofen, maybe seeing how well they dissolve in a simulated stomach acid. Any suggestions for this topic or different areas i could do a research question in? Thanks

Hello! I am in IB1 this year, we have been given the guidelines to the EE, so I am currently brainstorming on research questions for my chosen topic, Chemistry. I want to do my EE on something food related, so far i have come up with: How does oleic acid concentration in different types of (e.g virgin, etc.) olive oil affect its electrical conductivity? Ok, long story short; My situation is kind of complicated - I have a 'supervisor' who isn't really supervising me, but is saying that I have to give all of my raw data from my Chemistry EE experiment. My chemistry teacher isn't my supervisor but she is helping me with my EE because my supervisor isn't supervising me like she should, and my teacher is saying that I literally can't put any raw data, just analyze my averages.
