Hey, guys. I'll just give out a list of my subjects in case it helps: HL: Biology, Chemistry, English SL: French, Psychology, Maths I'm currently thinking of going into the medical field, but I've been having some doubt recently. I want to do Psychiatry and if my calculations are correct, it would take 10+ years to finish my education. So I might just go into the healthcare field, not necessarily Medicine, but something similar. Although, as I said, I'm not sure yet. So I currently am a right disgrace in Chemistry. Don't get me wrong, I really, really like the sub

2017 IB'ers, Was I the only one that stood 5 minutes looking at the new TOK prescribed titles and felt as empty as a waffles chips pack? Seriously, am I the only one that, comparing with the previous year's titles, thinks these ones are even more vague and intricate? Teachers usually say: look at them all, chop off 3 right away, consider 2 and keep one as the back up plan. Honestly, I did not look at any that would inspire me to write 1.600 words. 5 and 6 are, lets say, the ones that I would see myself doing, though all of the others belong to the "right away chop off" category, which is

Hello everyone! Being an ex-IB student, I am aware of how grueling the course can be, especially when it gets to that stage of the course when one must decide their university majors, and in essence, their careers. My friend and I found that this decision was a very big step at such an early age, not only due to the course pressures we face but also because of how unfamiliar we are with how the 'real world' functions, alongside fears of choosing a course that turns out unfavorable. For this reason, we came up with the concept of having a website that allows high school students to get in t

Hey guys! I' doing HL chemistry and year 2 is about to start. We have to give the first draft of the IA in 2 weeks, and I think my topic is too simple and generic. My topic is to compare the effectiveness of 5 brands of antacid in curing an acidic stomach (which will be simulated by HCl). Do you think it looks okay, or is too simple?

hi guys, I really need some advice here! I know nothing about the IB diploma except that you need at least 3 HL courses! So far I have put together the following potential schedule: HL economics HL history HL english lit HL Bio SL Mandarin SL Math Are these courses too rigorous to take at the same time? I know some of the ones I'm considering, like IB mandarin, are pretty big jumps from the courses I'm currently taking... But I have no idea what they're like. Help me out, I'm new! Thanks

Well I just started IB very recently and had my first DP economics class today. All classes start out at SL and we get to choose our HLs later on. I missed out on the first econs class as I had previously been doing history but switched out into econs after my first history lesson. My teacher asked the class who will be planning to do econs at a higher level for IB and I said I was. At this point he started ranting on about how incredibly difficult HL econs will be and that there will even be things that he will not be able to answer without personal research of the material of his own. He e

Hey would u mind to share ur opinion bout english as ur language B ? Since my language B is english (HL) Do u think it's easy ? How to score in this subject ?

So, while reading unis' websites I spotted sth like question of "challenging subjects". I'm curious about that. Word "challenge" is sth very relative. For one person doing a SL B language would be a challenge, but for someone else it would be chemistry HL or Math HL. What IB courses are challenging/difficult for you? Which of them do you find easy? And why? For me Economics, Math and Physics couldn't be easier, but I don't like Econ essay work load (the topics are stupid in until this moment). The hardest courses that I took are German B SL and English B HL (it is really hard because of my tea

I am currently forecasting for my classes next year, and I am having difficulty deciding whether or not I should I take IB Chemistry SL, due to fear of it being incredibly difficult. From upperclassmen, I have heard stories of grueling study hours and extremely rigorous exams. To place this fear into perspective, I would consider myself to be a scientifically/mathematically inclined student. I will also be taking either IB Math SL or HL. Thoughts? Opinions?

Hello IBers, I was wondering if anyone could share their opinion/experiences in using this website as an online IB course. I am currently thinking whether I should take Math HL with this website (since my school doesn't have a class for it). For right now, I would like to know the following things of Pamoja Education: The pros and cons of learning through this websiteThe level of difficulty compared to taking this course in an actual classPamoja's style of teaching; specifically the HL Math courseThanks a bunch!!

What I Need Help With I figured it'd be helpful if I provided my original research question: To What Extent is Typography an Integral Part of Effective Propaganda? But since I've found out, it has been near impossible looking for an assortment of sources to help me type out 3500-4000 words of unadulterated typographical insight, resulting in a reformulation of my research question! To What Extent has the Helvetica Typeface Revolutionized Modern Typography? What You Can Do To Help! I understand that as a Visual Arts EE, its important to include plenty of images to help portray my research. Unfo
