I've been asked to come up with an IA for Maths, and I was thinkng about combining a topic with DT as I wish to do product design at university. If anyone had any idea big or small it would be very useful.

Hello, Recently I got my predicted score from my supervisor for my Extended Essay, and I was wondering if anyone knew how easy it is to get a good grade on one if its based on Design Technology? My topic was Ergonomics. I am satisfied with my predicted score (21), however I don't know how accurate it would be. This is the first year (well, we're the first IB seniors at my school) that my school has had IB, so all of my teachers (except Chemistry) are new to the grading process. They went to training and used a rubric, but I'm not sure how much I should rely on the predicted score.

I have design technology as a higher subject and because i like it so much i decided to do my extended essay on it,after choosing my topic and my question and writing an early draft i was told that my topic would yield low marks. my topic was centered around how CAD (computer assisted design) has helped reduce the amount of raw plastic being used in production and how that affected both the environment and benefitted businesses, but it turns out that primary research on the topic is very limited and a high school student wouldn't be able to get good resources for such topic,and from what i saw

Hi, I've been trying to formulate a question around this, however, I can't seem to come up with anything. I'm planning on redesigning an empty space with CAD or re-modelling an already existing house into a different house but with the extension of empty lands. So you can take it as expanding a house. And based on what topic ? What primary research had been done and what secondary research had been done? Please guide me in order to accomplish my EE in design technology..!!! thanks

Hello, i'm currently doing these subjects: MATHS HL (6) PHYSICS HL (7) ENGLISH B HL (6) BIOLOGY SL (6/7) ECONOMICS SL (6) ITALIAN A SL (6) I was wondering if for aeronautical engineering, is better to do design and technology HL instead of biology. What do you think? The ideal university I'm aiming for is imperial college. Do you advice me doing dt???? Thanks for your help.

Hi, I am current pre-IB student and have to make decision about my subjects in IB. I want to study law, but I also consider political science or something with media, but Law is my priority. Now I have chosen: English B HL History HL Geography/Psychology HL MAths Studies Polish A SL And I do not know which one: biology or DT should I take. Hi! I have started my IB diploma this september with the following subjects: MATHS HL PHYSICS HL ECONOMICS SL BIOLOGY SL ENGLISH B HL ITALIAN A SL At university, I'd like to do aeronautical engineering. Because of this future career I was thinking about changing BIOLOGY SL into DESIGN and TECHNOLOGY HL, finishing my diploma with these subjects: MATHS HL PHYSICS HL DT HL ECONOMICS SL ENGLISH B SL ITALIAN A SL I've already talked to the IB coordinator and he told me this change would be fine because I would have these Christmas holidays to catch up. Do you think it's a better combination?

I'm currently a junior (still doing my first month of ib) and I plan on studying architecture in uni, i can still switch my subjects though! so what subjects should i take if i want to study architecture in uni?
