  1. What was the answer to the hess law question? was it something like -107?
  2. That is the question which i was mega ambigious about. I hope you can answer my amibguity, because then i might get 120/120 marks, and I would feel ****ing good. Q.10: Acceleration was given to be (60-v)/40, and initially the particle was at rest so at t=0, v=0. We were supposed to find the value of v at t=30. dv/dt=(60-v)/40 (60-v)dv/dt=1/40 Integrating both sides would give -ln|60-v|=t/40+c so at t=0, v=0 gives c=-ln60. We have ln|60-v|=ln60-t/40 so at t=30 ln|60-v|=ln60-3/4 |60-v|=e^(ln60-3/4) This gives v=31.7 or v=88.3 because of the absolute value sign. Now this really confused me durin
  3. y equals +- sqrt of the thing. What did you do for the 1 experiement...took n=1 or 16?
  4. Ahhh looking at my calculator, I got -3.88 * 10^-5 rad s-1, which is small indeed O_O Who knows, hopefully we're right Even I got the value as 2.26 * 10^-4. Pretty sure I am right. Had to substitute 10 in the equation and multiply by 0.5
  5. I am pretty sure you dint have to complicate it so much. It was straightforward. Total income from 3 requests = 180. This should be multiplied by the probability which was around 0.2 giving the answer in 30s.
  6. For the binomial one, n should be 1 because the question said 1 experiment and 1 experiment wasn't defined as 16 trials. For the volume one, it shouldn't be what you said as it was rotated around y=1 not y=0 (the x axis)
  7. I can't remember the question but I think it was binomial and I just did P(X=1) + P(X=16). I wasn't really sure what it was asking for too, and generally I'm not too confident on the probability questions in this paper I thought it was quite weird. I think 1 experiment should be n=1. So p(x=3) is not possible. What did others put? I thought the same thing as you, for n=1, x=3 gave 0, and x=1 was 0.25, so i just put 0.25, but I had honestly no clue Oh damn, for that I thought the 16 trials constituted "1 experiment" so I got something like 0.261. You're probably correct. It didn't say "experi

  9. In paper 2 section B what was the probability answer? what was the meaning of "1 experiment" was n=1 or 16. Also can someone tell me the 12f, the question on volume on revolution in section B

  11. Type I or Type II? Longest Type I at my school was 52, last year; longest type 2 however was longer - 60-something, I believe. The worst-case scenario is you lose one mark on quality of work if you're not precise. However, you can be long and still precise, depending on the methods/layout used. Its type 1...Its the patterns from complex numbers one and I guess to achieve higher marks I am testing for limitations and the conjecture at each of the three places. I shall ask my teacher about this and ask her suggestion to reduce the number of pages. Thanks for your help
  12. Okay so I am doing my portfolio and it already is 55 pages and I am afraid it could come close to 100 pages(graphs are about half a page). I know this is unusually long, would my marks be deducted for this ? I know there is no criteria for word count or any restrictions on it, but I am scared.
  13. Can someone please mail extensive notes on french ab initio please?
  14. Can an extended essay in business be based solely on the marketting, involving almost no financials? I have a really good idea including a lot of primary and secondary research, however getting financials is going to be difficult.
  15. Okay so I am taking the language and literate course and my school knows very little about it. We are done with one FOA in which we did the same thing as other lit students do in their IOP, the only difference being we analysed small texts and they analysed books. Can someone please tell me if my school is doing the right thing?
