  1. It was 6 marks away, but first my ia was remoderated up 4 marks. So I was 2 marks away when I sent it for a remark and got it
  2. Well this is insane, but my English remark came back a 7 and so now I have 44! I feel more tempted than ever to get 45 with this TOK remark. I know it's a great score, but I just have this urge to push my luck a little further. So does anyone else have any TOK remark stories to share? I'm so conflicted now
  3. I got 43, so are you saying I shouldn't because of that? I mean, I'd love a 44 See that's the thing, when I found out I got so low I honestly started doubting its quality, that's why I'm wondering if anyone's actually heard of TOK remarks differing from the original marks by a huge margin? I think ToK is the most fluctuating subject of them all. I see, so I think I'll give it a shot, because I don't think my essay will fall 3 more marks: I'm sure I did something right Does anyone else have any TOK remark stories they'd like to share?

  5. Oooh, could you give me the boundaries for English Lit/Lang SL, for a 6 atleast? Also, bad luck man, I can imagine how you feel :/ Maybe a remark?
  6. So, I've gotten 39/60 in TOK, and so I'm 8 marks away from an A and 3 marks away from a C. Either grade change will make me gain or loose a bonus point respectively (I have a B in EE). Now, the thing is, I got an A in my presentation but only 19/40 in my essay. My teacher felt that it was an A grade essay, worthy of 30+ (and it was read by the other TOK teachers in my school as well). My essay question was about a fifth way of knowing, I considered intuition and my AOKs were Math and Physical Sciences (I tried differing between the two as much as I could, and I felt I was pretty successful?).
  7. Hello, do you have more to share? I don't really need them, but some of my classmates do and our teachers seem to be pretty much reluctant to give the boundaries to us, so any help would be warmly welcomed Sure, I got those from here: http://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/wiki/IB_Grade_Boundaries#Mathematics Just check it out Those are old boundaries I'm afraid Both English Lit/Lang and Spanish/Language Ab. Initio are new courses (or revised) this year, so the boundaries might be different.
  8. Thanks so much, but I think that's English Literature, don't suppose you have English Lit/Lang?
  9. My IB coordinator refuses to give me the boundaries for English Lit/Lang SL, can anyone here please provide me with them? Both for components and overall, if possible? If you happen to have Spanish Ab. Initio SL that would be great too Thanks!
  10. Ah Cheers! My IBC told me I was 1 mark away from a 7, and it turns out I got a 5 in my written assessment. Do you know if that is remarked when you file for one, or only paper 1 and 2 are remarked? I don't think they remark the written assignment unless your entire classes get remarked. I'm pretty sure they remark the WA because it is the part of external examination. They don't remark internals. But correct me if I'm wrong. If they don't remark WAs then my planned remarking would not make sense... Exactly, that's what I was thinking too would happen Well, my school seems to have already app

  13. @cjy: My IBC is being an absolute *insert bad word here* and is refusing to give me this year's grade boundaries. Do you have all of them, if so, could you share them here for us? I'd especially like to know the boundaries for Spanish Ab. Initio and English Lit Lang SL. Thanks!
  14. It would cost a lot, but I think it's worth a shot anyway
  15. Oh I've heard a lot of horror stories about TOK/EE's unpredictability so I don't think my story is too bad, I just feel shocked naturally. And yeah, I was thinking remark EE first and see what to do from there once I get that result back. And unfortunately I think lit/lang boundaries are different/higher, so I'm going to wait on components before I decide on English. I will be remarking Spanish and EE for sure, and probably English cause I don't think I could fall to a 5. Thanks for your help!
