  1. yes, both are crucial elements. the introduction is where all of your background info is placed for your paper, as well as your thesis. the abstract is a synopsis/summary of the entire paper, including your thesis and the conclusion you came to. (generally written once you've written the EE). format, as far as i know, should be MLA.
  2. Wish granted but they were made from your beloved cat. I wish my ears didn't itch (thanks allergies).
  3. Yeah, i have to agree that the IB kids at my school are one big family. (There are 53 of us graduating this year). Everyone knows everyone and we all care and look out for one another. We do have friends outside of the IB (you know, non-IBers) but they are a select few who get along with everyone. I kind of like the idea of the IB kids being a family because it's something solid to hold onto.
  4. Wish granted, but your lover is depressed making them no fun at all. I wish that my boyfriend's car was fixed.
  5. while all three are plausible in their own way, i'm going to say that it's most likely number 2. reason being that the prompts were stored in your short term memory, meaning they were dumped out almost as soon as you finished the question and moved onto the next one. however, sleep deprivation can also hinder your ability to remember things which could account for how quickly you forgot about them. personally, i can still remember some of the prompts or at least the key concepts. good luck on your exams tomorrow! i'll be suffering through the same.
  6. Wish granted, but you choke on one and they have to do surgery on your esophagus. Ew. I wish that my exams were over.
  7. Wish granted. But, you fail the exam and do not receive the IB diploma. I wish that money grew on trees.
  8. Number 2 is a lie. 1. I got a four on my Spanish oral 2. I own a pure black cat 3. I'm not going to prom tomorrow.
  9. Most universities do not care if you took IB or not. It's usually just a perk and most of the time gets you accepted faster. Good luck with whatever you choose.
  10. IF SOMEONE SAYS 'ARE YOU OKAY' YOU SAY: - addicted HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF? - down WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GIRL/GUY? - firework HOW DO YOU FEEL? - the only exception WHAT IS YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE? - bodies WHAT'S YOUR MOTTO? - battlefield WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU? - dare you to move WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT VERY OFTEN? - its not over WHAT IS YOUR LIFE STORY? - these hard times WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? - ever the same WHAT DO YOU THINK WHEN YOU SEE THE PERSON YOU LIKE? - this ain't a scene, it's an arms race WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING? - clocks WHAT WILL
  11. granted. but you now always have the compulsion to color in any circle you see. i wish my parents understood.
  12. granted. however, the university you want to go to doesn't know what IB is. i wish i didn't have to go back to math class.
  13. great topic. and you're observations are correct, as far as the warfare and the failure of the US and everything. a source you need to find is Henry Kissinger's Diplomacy, he'll back up your statements. he talks about the Vietnam War, how it was fought, who was in charge, who won, what happened as a result, etc, etc. good luck!
  14. there are SAT study books that you can buy, just google it. you could also just look through dictionaries and things to broaden your vocabulary. good luck!
