Hello! I was wondering if writing about a highly controversial topic in history is ok for a history EE. I am just genuinely curious about the topic, but am worried.

Hello! I was wondering whether the books I’m thinking of using for my history EE are good or not. One is by an anthropologist (who is now an emeritus professor at Stanford) and the other is by a man with a BA in English and MA in Italian Studies from Brown University and his PhD in Comparative Literature from The Catholic University of America.
