  1. I am wondering if I'm allowed to use the same work in both English A IO and Self-taught language A (Japanese A) IO. I used Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami in my English IO, and I am thinking that I will do the same for Japanese IO. Of course, the second work (work in translation), global issue and my discussions will be different from my English IO. I appreciate your swift response. Thank you.

I was planning to do my HL chemistry database IA on the relationship between corrosion rate and pH level such as the difference between corrosion rate of steel when reacted with ocean water and rain water, but my teacher told me it is too simple and the answer is obvious. Are there any other factors I can or should add to my paper to make it complex enough? Or should I change my topic completely?
  3. My last topic was too complex for me so I decided to change it to something simpler but I'm having hard time developing my ideas. I'm planning to do my math IA on something about projectile motion and baseball using calculus. My current idea is "what is the most ideal angle for a batter to hit a home run with the least force possible?". I know that I will take air resistance into account, but I may neglect drag force caused by wind as the calculations may be too complex. Also, I'm not sure if I should include the calculation for momentum of ball-bat collision or not as it may be too physics-li
  4. Can anyone explain the difference between these two formulas? I am thinking of doing my math SL IA topic on time dilation so I need clear understanding on these. I know that one is the time dilation formula derived by using hyperbola and the other one is the famous time dilation formula, but I'm not sure how they are related to or different from each other. (I'm also not too sure how the first formula is derived since I don't have the knowledge from advanced algebra.)
