  1. It would take a lot of discipline to do that in addition to your other IB subjects and pacing may be difficult if you're wanting to cover all the Bio material independently. It is possible, especially if you are very interested in the subject. However, you will need to be organised and carefully prioritise your learning. HL Chem and Physics are on the more demanding end of IB subjects.
  2. I did a lab with distance of the plant from a light source as the independent variable and it worked fine. You should be fine.
  3. Chocolate, in the amounts I consume, is rather unhealthy. Confession:I'm typing this as I sit in class because I still have to go to school every day despite being done with my exams. NP will confess that they genuinely like the IB regardless of the constant struggle
  4. Quoting from a phone is really confusing. But to Ossih, for the quesions about TV, I thought that the second person said that she has the TV on a lower volume but they still don't talk as a family so then regardless of volume, the TV would not promote conversation? I honestly don't remember what I put but I think I eliminated the answer you mentioned as an option.
  5. I put all of the true/false ones as true and I felt quite confident in that. I had trouble with the pauvrete question too I put B for that because there was no direct indication that poverty = misery because earlier he said that poverty is relative (first paragraph). Do you guys remember the question where we had to match up meanings where one word sounded something like boulevard? It might be the same one you mentioned but I'm not sure. I had quite a bit of trouble with that one and I ended up putting construit and detruit lendement for the first two butI was guessing at that point
  6. I've taken both Bio and Chem at HL and given your background with humanities, I'd say go for Bio HL. I found Bio to be easier than chemistry because its just about covering the material and understanding simple mechanisms - with a fair bit of memorisation. I procrastinated A LOT but managed to do all of Bio in 3 days including SL material and the options while doing the English Lit HL exams and I think I managed to get at least a 6, most likely a 7 in the exams. For Chemistry, you need lots more practice and to really be familiar with the concepts. This takes more time, and I had to study a l
  7. What exactly were you asked to identify? From what I can remember of the question, it stated that the light absorption chart (or something along those lines) belonged to a nitrogen oxide, NxOy. It had frequency on the x-axis and had arbitrary units of something on the y-axis. The wavelength where the graph peaked was in infrared, and from there it just asked to give the identity of the nitrogen oxide. I just guessed N2O because the next question dealt with its environmental impact relative to CO2 and N2O was the only one I remembered from the chart of greenhouse gases, so I figured I might g
  8. uh I put no change for that one. I thought Kc is only depended upon temperature. Since it was constant temp i think Kc remains the same. My bad. The question I was referring to was what affects k, the rate, not Kc. But I put no change for the Kc one as well!! I thought that question was actually about Kc and how it would decrease, where one answer was a decrease in temperature - which would be correct. And the question with two arrows, I thought the answer was an alcohol - I don't remember what A was for the answer, B had added a Cl and an H which wouldn't have been possible with the bon

  10. I did options D and E, TZ1. Most of it was pretty easy and like you guys said, such a relief after Papers 1 and 2! There were a few odd questions though, like the one about the chemical composition of a virus? I had no idea and just talked about its size and function relative to bacteria.
  11. Wait, you mean language A/B assignment, something along the lines of WT/WA? Wasn't the IBO deadline for that months ago? No, it's not an IB assignment. Just something they're making us do. Our school essentially has two grade books - one as the IB one and the other with grades to meet the school requirements which is based off the American education system. This assignment had nothing to do with the IB but they made us do it for other grades anyways. Although our school didn't make us do assignments during the exams (I feel sorry for you guys), they did give us 4 tests and 2 assignments th

  13. My school is kind of ridiculous with this. We barely finished the syllabus in most classes, got no time off and I literally just had to turn in an assignment for english today - it was a creative writing exercise but I had my Chem HL exam on the same day. So, we didn't get much time at all to study.
  14. I did that question, it was question 4 with part a as a drawing of the male reproductive system and b as a comparison between spermatogenesis and oogenesis. I thought it was pretty easy; talked about natural selection, increased competition for resources, possible decrease in biodiversity and carrying capacity. I found papers 2 and 3 easy for TZ1 but paper 1 kind of screwed me up a little
