  1. I am not so sure though, but my teacher said that there is no word and the max. is 1600 words. I think it would add extra point (help, someone please?) if we could reach 1200-1600 words. I checked in an IB book - Minimum is 1200 and maximum is 1600 Hm, thank you! Also, this question goes to you and everyone, do I have to mention my AoKs literally? Like for example, I chose Arts, do I have to say like "Arts, as an area of knowledge..." or can I just go with my RLs and stuffs? I was told to make it clear, you must put it in your intro. So: State the prescribed title you have cho
  2. Even when there was a question that didn't specify or suggest how many AOKs we should explore, my ToK teacher strongly recommended to stick to 2 AOKs. Usually with 3, you don't have the opportunity to delve deep enough into the analysis considering the word limit. Good luck!
  3. CHAPTER 1 It had started off as a normal day in Lauren's life. However, Lauren had no idea that it would be her last... Living as a mighty dinosaur during the extinction of these predators, Lauren realized, was no easy feat. She had been walking along the side of the road, heading home after a long day at school and basketball practice. She heard a rustle in the trees. And a feral dog jumped at her from the trees. The dog started following her. She got scared and started screaming. She then started to run away as the dog started chasing her. Unfortunately, she wasn't fast enough. And she reali
  4. You could sell them and donate the money to a non-for-profit. Sales make money, so I don't know how you wouldn't earn money from a sale?
  5. It's completely possible. There are always sex jokes hidden in many movies that we don't catch when we're young (which I now spot when I rewatch my childhood favourites!) I came across these(1, 2) articles a while ago, but I think it's really all up to the person who watches the movie to decide for themselves. Do you really want your childhood ruined? Honestly, I think in this day & age, people can point out perversions in anything - whether it be for children or not. And I think that's sad.
  6. My EE supervisor strongly suggested I put headings... But I agree with you. It breaks the flow I think I'll do something like that. I'm already over the word limit so those few words are great. Thanks
  7. Oh, yeah headings is what they're called. Sorry, I do my program in French so sometimes I mix up the terms hehe. We were told that headings count for word count... Anyway, since I'm doing my EE in English, do you have ideas on how would I formulate my headings? Using the arguments I originally provided above.
  8. Yes, in a sense. Like in a Biology EE (for example) you would have "Introduction", "Method", "Results", "Discussion", "Evaluation of Method and Improvements", "Conclusion".

  10. Hello all! I'm doing my Extended Essay in English, category 2. My supervisor was recently at an IB conference and they said that it is helpful for IB students to put subtitles in their EEs (even in English apparently), as it helps correctors to keep track of where they are when they're reading or something of the sort. So, in English, how do I make sure that the subtitles are a little more creative than Introduction Argument 1 Argument 2 Argument 3 Conclusion Works Cited I don't know how to reformulate for arguments 1, 2 and 3... Without giving away too much information on my EE, here
  11. Hi You could do something for "Habitat for Humanities" which some of the people in my school do in Romania, or elsewhere. They build houses, wells or even schools. You could also go to an MUN meeting, but the school needs to register you and other people as well. That sounds like a great idea, but my school already does a Habitat for Humanity trip yearly. I wanted to do something different If you're interested, please message me your email Ok, message me your email and I'll forward you our conversations

  13. I always aim for 6s, but when I get a 5, I'm still pretty happy. It's a 92% and that's something I'm happy about
