  1. I'm gonna have to say, it's bad to go below your level of knowledge. You have the knowledge to do French SL and you should do it. It applies to Maths as well. It is always better to go for a slightly challenging subject so you don't get bored.
  2. Live for 1000 years, no repeated IB for me. Would you rather be rich and live in the most expensive city, or poor and live in the cheapest city?
  3. Don't risk it! All the examples I have seen contain a majority of the topics. Always better safe then sorry!
  4. I'm not using predicted grades, your IB co-ordinator will release the results from the IB to UAC or your selected uni when they receive them. Just check here if you want more info about using predicted grades. http://www.uac.edu.au/undergraduate/faq/ib.shtml
  5. I have chosen the topic of modelling infectious diseases and modelling the rate of infection off a cumulative frequency of the number of infections per year using the derivative. I am comparing smallpox, chickenpox and cowpox. But I need some questions to answer. Would love any help formulating these.
  6. They don't matter at all. The predicted grades don't either. Look at the University Application Centre FAQ on IB, it talks about current conversions from IB score to ATAR. So as long as you get 28 points you will get a ATAR of 78. All they need is for you to authorise the IBIS (IB Integration System) to send your final scores to the UAC.
  7. If you think that a game will count for CAS think again. It isn't action, it isn't creativity and it is definitely not service. You will waste your already non-existent life of LOL resulting in the failure of the IB. I have a friend who just graduated and he didn't get the results he wanted because he played too many games. So think of something better...
  8. The Australia New South Wales HSC (High School Certificate) What do you do in you limited spare time?
  9. I have to do a IA on the germination of seeds. I have my independent variable which is salinity. I am looking at it effect on the time it takes for a seed to germinate. I have a few questions, What is a good range of concentrations? How much of the concentration should I add? What is the best way to get my concentration? Should I add the concentration to the soil and add the salinity of the soil on top, or change the salinity of the soil to a fixed point? E.g. add 1% to soil or make the soil have 1% salinity. All help would be great! Thanks!
  10. Look at the sheet your teacher gave you about writing lab reports or go and check bioninja, ib guides etc. for examples and look at the IBO site. Good Luck, I also have to write my IA in the next few weeks.
  11. Well I am in HL, but I have seen examples of people who attach fabric etc. I don't think they mind. I have a teacher who has been teaching IB theatre for over 10 years, so he has a wide range of ppp for us to look at.
  12. I think that video games are good as entertainment and as an art form. People can express art in the designs of the game such as scenery, characters and other items. It is a new way to present ideas. What is your biggest fear?
  13. I am doing my Theatre Project next semester. Can anyone give me a break down on the project if I choose the Tech aspect.
  14. Look at previous work, it helped me!
