  1. If you have access to Matlab I would really recommend it. It can take sometime to learn how to use it but it's very useful. You could also try Gnuplot, I haven't used it so I can't tell you if and how it works but I'm guessing it's possible. Maybe http://wiki.geogebra.org/en/Complex_Numbers can be of use as well.
  2. I was rejected with a predicted score of 45 (for econometrics) . Like JYC said, they are looking for reasons to reject you. I was rejected due to my language choices (which I believe was unfair but they couldn't care less about that). Nonetheless, if you have a great PS, go for it!
  3. I agree with macrotam. Books will only provide you with the 'basic knowledge'. Use past papers and practice real exam questions, this will help you a lot more. My teacher always gives us a bunch of exam questions before the tests and it helps far more than doing the practice questions from the book. So just google around and you should be able to find quite a lot of past papers
  4. I think she should be allowed to take English B if she wants to. I know a lot of people who are native Swedish speakers who take Swedish B so I see no reason for why she can't. I'm not so sure about the 5 HL's though, I think she might have to take 4HL's and 2SL's but if she wants to, she could take one of the HL's as a certificate. Although I'm just guessing here...
  5. I usually go on a TV-show watching marathon... You guys have no idea how many times I have watched Breaking bad and The Office
  6. I'm in math HL IB1 as well. But what exactly do you mean by a study partner?
  7. LOVE your list! Just to add some to the rock part: 1. Creedence clearwater revival 2. The Yardbirds 3. ZZ Top 4.Queen
  8. Nice guide Also, for Chrome users, get stayfocusd and block whatever site you want.
  9. Hi guys, I have finished the first draft for my WT part 1 and I would love to get some feedback on it. Send me a PM and I'll send it to you. Thanks in advance
  10. I usually go to a bar on Fridays with my friends or spend the entire night watching TV-shows.
  11. Hi guys I need some help with an uncertainty question. If I wanted to calculate the weight of an object, I would use F=mg. I know 'g' and the mass is written on the object (let's say 100g). So F=(0.1)(9.81). But what are the uncertainties in this? Since the mass is written on the object, I did not have to weigh it on a weighing machine so I don't really see a source of uncertainty. So is the uncertainty 0 or should I just estimate an uncertainty?
  12. It is the name of my favorite character from The Office.
  13. My school gave me the H&H book but I also have the IBID and Cambridge one's. Personally I think IBID > Cambridge > H&H. IBID has great explanations and questions whilst the H&H's questions feel to simple.
  14. I bought the Cambridge one to practise over summer-break and in general I found it to be pretty useful. I also have the IBID press book and I find it relatively more useful as it has better explanations and a lot of examples.
